Welcome to Surrey Jelly

Are you based in Surrey? Would you like the the chance to get out of the (home)office and work alongside other like-minded business people for a day a month?

Bronzeoak Business Centre have very kindly agreed to host Surrey Jelly in their fabulous conference room with tea and coffee (for a small charge).  There is space for 14 people with laptops, free wifi and free parking close by.

What is Jelly?

Jelly is a casual monthly co-working event, where homeworkers, freelancers, small business owners who want a change of working scene once in a while can get together with their laptops once a month to have a change from their usual workplace, meet some new people and work together in a social environment .

Jelly is mainly about work with a bit of chat, sharing ideas, helping others with business issues, passing on tips and maybe even collaborating on  a new project. Don't worry there's also plenty of time for tea and coffee and if you're lucky maybe even some cake eating too!

Jelly is NOT networking- it isn't about trying to find new clients, pitching your business or trying to sell.  Doing any of that is guaranteed to make you instantly unpopular.

Jelly was started in the States and is now increasingly popular in the UK with over 35 active co-working groups already and more starting up every month

So if you have ever felt isolated in your home office/ work office and want to meet some other like-minded people in a different work environment, then come along to a Jelly and give it a try!

What does it cost to attend?

Its FREE to come along, all you need do is bring some money to buy yourself tea/coffee. You are welcome to bring your own lunch or there is a local supermarket a couple of minutes walk away.

When is it?

The first Surrey Jelly at Caterham will be on 22nd September and monthly thereafter. All the dates will be available on our JellySouthEast page on Facebook. Places are limited and anyone wanting to come along will need to book a free ticket. Tickets will be made available two weeks prior to the event and their release will be announced on the JellySouthEast page on Facebook

Where is it?

Bronzeoak Business Centre, Stafford Road, Caterham, Surrey CR3 6JG

Do I have to stay all day?

People can turn up at any point from the starting point, introduce themselves to the organiser, plug in their laptop and access the wi fi with no obligation to be there from start to finish so you can fit Jelly in around other commitments like the school run. . Obviously- the longer you're there the more vibrant and interactive the day will be.

Do I qualify?

As long as you have a laptop to keep you busy and you're a business person then you qualify. The more variety of people we have attending the better!  Even if you're still researching a business you're more than welcome to come along and get some inspiration!

Who's organising it?

Lyn French and Hazel McLellan of findgoodcustomerservice.com.  The place to find and and check out online, local businesses and professionals who are recommended by their customers for the great customer service they provide.
